This Refund Policy describes how Arbitrat Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles requests for refunds related to our digital courses, continuing legal education (CLE) programs, subscriptions, and related services (“Services”).
By purchasing or enrolling in any of our Services, you agree to this Policy.
All digital products and Services are non-refundable once access has been granted, delivered, or commenced.
Due to the nature of digital content, you acknowledge and agree that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation once you access or download course materials or participate in online sessions.
This policy is consistent with applicable law, including:
The European Union Directive on Consumer Rights (2011/83/EU), which exempts digital content from withdrawal rights once delivery has started with consumer consent.
The Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8.078/1990), recognizing exceptions for digital delivery and consumption.
U.S. laws, which generally do not require refunds for digital products once accessed or used.
We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund or credit under the following limited circumstances:
If you accidentally purchased duplicate courses (proof required).
If you are unable to access the course content due to verified technical issues on our platform (not related to your internet connection, device compatibility, or local restrictions) and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.
If the content delivered materially differs from its description on our website or marketing materials.
To request a refund under these exceptions, you must contact us within 7 calendar days of purchase or first access, whichever comes first.
If you enroll in a subscription or membership program:
You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next billing cycle through your account settings or by contacting us.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partially used periods.
Refunds for subscriptions will only be considered if no content has been accessed during the billing period.

You must include:
Your full name and email used for registration.
The order number or receipt.
A clear explanation of the reason for your request.
Any supporting documentation (e.g., error messages, screenshots).
We reserve the right to decline any refund request that does not meet the criteria described in this Policy.
If your refund is approved:
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Depending on your payment provider, it may take up to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account.
Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer laws. Where local laws provide mandatory refund rights (e.g., certain cooling-off periods for consumers in the European Union), we will honor those rights to the extent required.
If you reside in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from purchases of digital content before you have accessed or streamed it. By starting access or downloading, you expressly agree to waive this right of withdrawal.
We may update this Refund Policy to reflect changes in our business practices or legal obligations. When we do, we will post the updated Policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
